Columbia’s Wizkid collaborated with clothing giant Tommy Hilfiger, co-starring in their Fall 2021 campaign: ‘Pass The Mic’. Alongside the likes of Jack Harlow and Yara Shahidi, the galvanizing partnership saw Wiz and his castmates call on their fans to share their own messages to inspire change. In addition to featuring in the main campaign video, the global superstar also performed his own self-penned poem, with his ruminations on character and commitment proving to be one of the standout moments from the wider partnership.
Head of Brand Partnerships at 4th Floor Creative, Precious Omoregie, said: “We worked with an artist who has created such a significant imprint across Africa, but then also globally. So to have someone like Tommy Hilfiger – a very heritage US brand – partner with an African artist has been so important for us. I think that’s why it won [at the Music Week Awards], because it’s two big giants in fashion and music coming together.”
The project was a collaboration between 4th Floor Creative, Columbia Records UK, Starboy Entertainment and Tommy Hilfiger.
